WEB-CONNECTED MINDS: HOW TECHNOLOGY TRANSFORMS\u00a0BRAINS, TEACHING AND ATTENTION<\/p>\nWHAT:<\/strong><\/p>\n
Almost 1,000 neuroscientists, educators and technology\u00a0experts will be meeting to explore how social networks and\u00a0emerging digital technology are affecting students\u2019 brains,\u00a0attention and focus, as well as their learning and behavior.\u00a0Speakers will discuss how apps, video games and social\u00a0networks are causing idisorders as well as leading\u00a0educators to rethink education and teaching; and how new\u00a0cognitive video games may improve student learning,\u00a0memory, attention and skills in reading, math and science.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe conference will address the critical topics that\u00a0educators must consider as they strive to meet the needs of\u00a0learners in the iGeneration,\u201d according to Mariale\u00a0Hardiman, EdD, School of Education, Johns Hopkins\u00a0University.<\/p>\n
This conference also provides professional development for\u00a0educators.<\/p>\n
